Bad Poem #1 (Sunlight Checkerboards)
The pressure to make something show-stopping stops me from trying at all. I know I just need to get into the habit of making something though.
I could do a bad poem.
--
Sunlight checkerboards on the sidewalk as it leaps through the Swiss cheese of fall foliage, rusty rustles are nails on chalkboard, but pleasant, newly-laid blocks stretch ahead, five, six, seven, chlorophyll alongside carotene, limes and mixed lemons.
Stroller under strobe lights, train track tempo, Divets feel like speed bumps for Sleeping Kano
Maybe not my life today, but someday soon, it's all still alive as autumn days bloom.
